Criteria and the Ortega-Marañón Foundation (through the Ortega-Marañón University Research Institute) recently signed a collaboration agreement with the aim of jointly presenting and promoting the Professional Master’s Degree in Health Expertise, Valuation of Bodily Injury and Health Risk Assurance in order to meet the significant increase in demand for specialists in this field.

This innovative training programme, the first edition of which will be launched in October 2022, will address key issues in Health Expertise, such as conflict resolution, assistance in court, expertise in employment contracts or the insurance of health risks and forensic psychiatry.

The objective of the Master, which will be carried out online, is to provide 100% practical knowledge to healthcare professionals, as well as to professionals in this field in the insurance sector.

In addition, the programme will include master classes and mock trials, which students will be able to attend both in person and online.

The signing of the collaboration agreement on 30 June was attended by Lucía SalaDirector General of the Ortega-Marañón Foundation; Pedro Antonio González, Commercial Director of Criteria and Álvaro Montoya, Partner and Director of Criteria Insurance & Loss Adjusters, and Antonio López VegaDirector of the Ortega-Marañón University Research Institute.

The José Ortega y Gasset-Gregorio Marañón Foundation (FOM) is a private institution whose activity focuses on the promotion of culture, training, research and the creation of a space for plural and independent thought within the fields of social sciences, humanities and health sciences, with the aim of contributing to the sustainable progress of the welfare state.

Within the structure of the FOM, the Instituto Universitario de Investigación Ortega-Marañón (IUOM), created in 1986 as a centre for postgraduate training and research in Social Sciences and Humanities, and attached to the Complutense University. At present, the IUOM offers Official Doctorate and Master’s Programmes and its own degrees, as well as other research, teaching and consultancy activities.

In the coming weeks, the full programme of this first edition of Professional Master’s Degree in Health Expertise, Valuation of Bodily Injury and Health Risk Insurance, is now open for registration for all those professionals (doctors, lawyers, insurance companies and brokers) interested in becoming certified in this speciality, which has the accredited prestige of the Ortega Marañón Institute and the technical, expert and practical contribution of Criteria in this field.
