Last November, several Criteria Global directors traveled to Panama for the recent opening of this office, which is a milestone in the company’s expansion plan, both because of its location and the country’s special importance in the region.

Coinciding with this trip, the teams from Criteria Global Spain (Álvaro Montoya, Alejandro Hernández and Pedro Antonio González), Puerto Rico and the US(Ivonne Leal and Luis José Vicentini, also Director of Criteria America), Mexico (Guillermo Signoret), Colombia (Camilo Pinzón), Ecuador (Edison Colimba) and Panama (Emilio Palomeras) met again despite the difficulties posed by the pandemic situation for these rewarding personal meetings.

They were two fruitful and intense days in which the directors had the opportunity to visit many of the most relevant players in the insurance sector in Panama,such as SURA – Seguros Suramericana, S.A.; IFS – Interamericana de Fianzas y Seguros; IS – Internacional de Seguros; SSRP – Superintendencia de Seguros y Reaseguros de Panamá; ASSA Compañía de Seguros; Autoridad Aeronáutica Civil de Panamá; Mapfre Panamá; Acerta Seguros; MARSH Semusa or Unity Willis Towers Watson.

Within the framework of this meeting also took place the seminar for clients on Lucro Cesante and Loss of Benefits, given by Mr. Jose Maria Montoya, author of the “Manual de Peritación de Pérdida de Beneficios de Criteria” (available on Amazon).
